Can’t Knock the *Filipino* Hustle

I caught myself scrolling through images of Tacloban, Philippines, where Super Typhoon Haiyan had hit the hardest in early November. Although sadness was the immediate feeling I had felt, I could not help but admire those living there who were moving forward positively. Coming across these photos of children playing basketball with the debris behind them left the biggest impact on me. It really hit home.

I could not be more proud to say that I am half-Filipina because of my people’s resiliency towards the adversity they faced. God wouldn’t challenge you unless He didn’t think you could push on through.

Sending all of my love, positive energy, and prayers to those in Tacloban.

Much love to my family living in Iriga City. I hope someday we can meet.
